Bebo or not to Bebo

Inspired by social networking sites like My Space and Facebook, Bebo or not to Bebo is a hard-hitting, thought-provoking production exploring young people’s experience of logging on.  For the first time ever, Spanner in the Works will tour this new production throughout the six counties appearing in three venues in every county.

This production is aimed at young people aged 12 and upwards and their parents/carers.

Aims

  • To encourage emotional literacy in young people when communicating with others in cyber space.
  • To engage young people and their parents or carers in discussion around the issues of bullying and suicide.
  • To use drama to engage young people in urban and rural areas, and the adults that work with and care for them in a pertinent and challenging subject.

Does cyber bullying really exist?  Are young people influenced by suicide sites?
